I borrowed a projector and tripod from bookit for installation photography.
I used the projector to project the images on the curtain behind the installation.
The dim lighting and small space symbolise the greyness and crampedness of the comfort zone, and the tattered quilts symbolise the long unchanging comfort zone that has become dilapidated. Audiences can curl up in the installation and experience the comfort zone while reading the book.
When I open the book in the installation, the light projects lines onto the pages. The interwoven threads are like a web, a cocoon, that you have woven for yourself.
