Updated: Aug 16, 2023

We went to Glasgow to see galleries, exhbitions and print shop to find more inspirations.

What inspired me most is the project called An Ordinary Eden.

This is a project on homelessness and I was inspired by the way he conduct this project. He takes photographs of objects and environments and records his feelings about them. He also recorded interviews with people to create an archive. This added to his feelings and understanding of homelessness.

I was inspired by the way he did research. he made a lot of personal interview and collected photos and record their feelings. I think it's a good way to do the ethnographic research to explore the feelings of the target group.

He made a booklet to introduce this project. It's a good way to let audience to know the whole project. I think I can also made a booklet like this to introduce my project.

The final outcome is a photographic exhibition.

This is a screen print exhbition that expresses feminism. Screen printing produces interesting textural effects, so I think I can also try screen print to create my own patterns.

I also saw many posters which use multi-material to create interesting effect.

These works combined with screenprint collaged with printed acetate, poster and photocopy. I think it's interesting to try the muti-material method to make posters.

I also saw many interesting art books in the bookshop.

This was a zine showed the exploration of apropos territory.

I really like the pattern style of this book. Mybe I can also try to make this kind of pattern in my book.

This book is very abstract, I don't know this word "nonbinaryhood" but through illustration I can gradually understand the concept. I think illustration is a good method to explain an abstract concept.

In the end, I went to a risoprint workshop.

It's interesting to see how it works. The shop owner is very kind to answer our questions.

The pattern printed by riso looks really nice, I think I can also try riso print in our school's workshop.
